These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("you" or "User") and OakDev & AI AB ("we", "us", or "our") governing your access to and use of the Nuria mobile application ("the App") and associated services. By downloading, installing, or using the App, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated herein by reference.
If you do not agree to these Terms, do not download or use the App.

2. About Nuria
Nuria is a daily Sunni Islamic guidance and reflection application. The App delivers:
- Daily Islamic scripture (Quranic verses and authenticated Hadith).
- A daily role model — a profile of a significant figure from Sunni Islamic history.
- A daily personal spiritual reflection.
- On-demand personalised reflections across 15 spiritual categories, drawn from your reflection balance.
All content is rooted in the Holy Quran, the Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, and the authentic Sunni Islamic scholarly tradition.
3. Eligibility
To use Nuria you must be at least 13 years of age. If you are between 13 and 18, you confirm that you have obtained parental or guardian consent to use the App and to make any in-app purchases. By using the App, you represent and warrant that you meet these requirements.
The App is not intended for, and we do not knowingly permit access by, persons under 13. If we discover that a person under 13 has created an account, we will terminate it and delete associated data promptly.
4. Your Account
Certain features of the App require you to create an account using a valid email address. You agree to:
- Provide accurate, current, and complete registration information.
- Keep your account credentials confidential and not share them with any third party.
- Be fully responsible for all activity that occurs under your account, whether or not authorised by you.
- Notify us immediately at hello@oakdev.app if you suspect any unauthorised access to or use of your account.
We reserve the right to refuse registration or cancel an account at our discretion, including where we reasonably suspect fraud, abuse, or violation of these Terms.
You may not create more than one account per person. Creating multiple accounts to circumvent suspension, access restrictions, or to accumulate additional content entitlements is prohibited.
5. Purchasing the App
Nuria is a paid application. Access requires a one-time purchase through the Apple App Store or Google Play. Upon a valid purchase, you receive a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use the App on devices that you own or control, subject to these Terms and the applicable App Store terms.
The purchase price is displayed in the relevant App Store at the time of purchase and is subject to change for new purchases. Your purchase price is fixed at the time you complete the transaction.
Included with your App purchase are 150 reflections credited to your balance, access to daily features (scripture, role model, daily reflection), and access to a selection of reflection categories as specified in the App at the time of purchase.
6. Reflections — Your Balance
"Reflections" are units of personalised spiritual content delivered by the App upon your request. Each request for a personalised reflection from any category deducts one reflection from your balance.
Your reflection balance is clearly displayed within the App at all times. Daily features (daily scripture, daily role model, daily personal reflection) are provided as part of the App and do not deduct from your balance.
Unused reflections carry over indefinitely and do not expire, subject to your account remaining active. Reflections have no monetary value, cannot be transferred between accounts, and are not redeemable for cash.
7. Barakah and Top-Up Purchases
7.1 Barakah
Barakah (بركة — meaning "blessing") is an optional one-time in-app purchase that:
- Credits an additional 300 reflections to your balance.
- Unlocks access to all 15 reflection categories.
- Grants early or priority access to new features as they are released, as described in the App at the time of release.
Barakah is a one-time purchase — not a recurring subscription and does not auto-renew. The reflections and category access granted by Barakah are tied to your account and do not expire while your account is active.
7.2 Reflection Top-Ups
Additional reflection top-ups may be purchased inside the App at any time. Each top-up credits a fixed number of reflections to your balance, as displayed in the App at the time of purchase. Top-ups are one-time purchases and are non-refundable once used.
7.3 Account Transfer
Barakah and reflection balances are associated with your Nuria account. They are not transferable to another account. If you delete your account, any unused reflections and Barakah entitlements are forfeited without compensation.
8. Billing, Payments, and Refunds
8.1 Payment Processing
All payments — including the App purchase, Barakah, and top-ups — are processed exclusively through Apple Inc. (App Store) or Google LLC (Google Play) in accordance with their respective terms and billing policies. We do not process, store, or have access to your payment card or banking details.
8.2 Pricing
Prices are displayed in the applicable App Store at the time of purchase and may vary by region due to currency and local tax requirements. We reserve the right to change pricing for future purchases at any time. Price changes do not affect purchases already completed.
8.3 Taxes
Applicable taxes (including VAT where required) may be applied by Apple or Google at the point of sale in accordance with the tax regulations of your jurisdiction.
8.4 Refunds
Refund requests for the App, Barakah, and top-up purchases are handled exclusively by Apple or Google according to their respective refund policies. We are unable to process refunds directly. Please contact Apple Support or Google Play Support to request a refund.
Reflections that have already been used (consumed to generate content) are non-refundable under any circumstances.
9. Acceptable Use
You agree to use Nuria only for its intended purpose of personal spiritual guidance and reflection. You must not:
- Use the App in any manner that violates applicable law, regulation, or these Terms.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, disassemble, or derive the source code of the App.
- Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to generate or extract content from the App.
- Reproduce, distribute, publicly perform, broadcast, modify, or create derivative works of any App content without our prior written permission.
- Circumvent, disable, or tamper with any technical protection measures or access controls within the App.
- Impersonate another person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity.
- Upload, transmit, or facilitate any content that is unlawful, harmful, defamatory, abusive, obscene, or that promotes hate, violence, or discrimination.
- Use the App to disseminate content that contradicts the values of Sunni Islam or that could bring harm to the Muslim community.
- Exploit the App commercially — including reselling, sublicensing, or offering access to the App's features or content to third parties for compensation.
- Interfere with or disrupt the App, our servers, or the networks connected to our services.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account immediately and without notice if we reasonably determine you have violated any of the above.
10. Intellectual Property
10.1 Our Intellectual Property
All aspects of the App — including its design, user interface, graphics, text, software, code, algorithms, trade marks, logos, and the selection and arrangement of content — are the property of OakDev & AI AB or its licensors and are protected by copyright, trade mark, database rights, and other intellectual property laws.
10.2 Licence to You
Subject to your valid purchase and these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the App on devices you own or control, solely for personal, non-commercial spiritual development. This licence does not include any right to sublicence, resell, modify, or create derivative works.
10.3 Islamic Texts
Quranic verses and Hadith referenced in the App are drawn from the public domain of Islamic scholarship and are used for religious education and spiritual guidance. We make no claim of ownership over any sacred Islamic text. All Quranic content is presented with the utmost care and reverence.
10.4 Feedback
If you provide us with feedback, suggestions, or ideas, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, irrevocable licence to use that feedback for any purpose without compensation or attribution.
11. Content Disclaimer
The spiritual content provided through Nuria — including prayers, reflections, role model profiles, and daily guidance — is intended for personal spiritual enrichment and is rooted in the authentic Sunni Islamic tradition as understood through the Quran and Sunnah.
This content is not a substitute for qualified Islamic scholarly guidance. We encourage all users to seek qualified Islamic scholars and institutions for specific religious rulings (fatawa), serious life decisions, or matters of Islamic law (fiqh).
While we strive for accuracy and authenticity in all content, we do not warrant that any specific content is free from error or that it reflects the position of any particular school of Islamic jurisprudence (madhab). Differences in scholarly opinion represent the natural diversity within the Sunni tradition.
12. Disclaimer of Warranties
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law:
- The App is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise.
- We expressly disclaim all implied warranties, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and uninterrupted or error-free operation.
- We do not warrant that the App will always be available, uninterrupted, or free from errors, bugs, or security vulnerabilities.
- We make no warranty regarding the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of any spiritual content for any individual's particular needs or circumstances.
Where mandatory consumer protection laws in your jurisdiction provide implied warranties that cannot be excluded, those protections remain in force to the extent required by law.
13. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, OakDev & AI AB, its directors, employees, agents, licensors, and service providers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, loss of data, loss of goodwill, business interruption, or the cost of substitute services, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
In all cases, our total aggregate liability to you for any claims arising under or related to these Terms or the App shall not exceed the greater of (a) the total amount you paid to us for the App in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) EUR 50.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for: death or personal injury caused by our negligence; fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; or any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under applicable Swedish or EU consumer law.
14. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless OakDev & AI AB and its officers, directors, employees, contractors, agents, and licensors from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from or relating to: your use or misuse of the App; your violation of these Terms; your violation of any applicable law or the rights of a third party; or any content you submit through the App.
15. Termination
15.1 Termination by You
You may stop using the App at any time. You may delete your account via Settings → Account → Delete Account in the App, or by submitting a request at our deletion page or emailing hello@oakdev.app. Deleting your account forfeits any unused reflections without compensation.
15.2 Termination by Us
We may suspend or terminate your account and access to the App immediately, with or without notice, if you breach these Terms, we are required to do so by law, we have reasonable grounds to suspect fraud or abuse, or we decide to discontinue the App (in which case we will provide reasonable advance notice).
15.3 Effect of Termination
Upon termination, your right to access and use the App ceases immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination — including intellectual property, warranties, limitation of liability, indemnification, and governing law — shall survive. Personal data will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data retention obligations.
16. Consumer Rights and Mandatory Law
If you are a consumer resident in the European Union (including Sweden), you may have rights under EU and national consumer protection law that cannot be excluded or limited by these Terms. Nothing in these Terms is intended to restrict those rights, including:
- Rights under the EU Consumer Rights Directive and Swedish Consumer Purchase Act (Konsumentköplagen).
- Rights under Directive (EU) 2019/770 on contracts for the supply of digital content and digital services.
- Your right to a 14-day withdrawal period for digital content contracts, except where you have expressly consented to immediate delivery and acknowledged that your right of withdrawal is therefore lost — which occurs when you complete your App purchase and begin downloading the App.
For consumer complaints or disputes, you may contact the Swedish National Board for Consumer Disputes (Allmänna reklamationsnämnden, ARN) at arn.se, or use the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
17. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Sweden, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
We encourage you to contact us first at hello@oakdev.app to seek an amicable resolution for any dispute. If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, it shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Swedish courts, with the District Court of Gothenburg (Göteborgs tingsrätt) as the court of first instance, unless mandatory consumer protection law in your country of residence grants you the right to bring proceedings before a court in that country.
EU consumers may also refer disputes to ARN or the EU ODR platform referenced in Section 16.
18. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. For material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date and notify you via a prominent notice in the App or by email at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the App after that date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not accept the revised Terms, you must stop using the App.
19. Severability and Waiver
If any provision of these Terms is found invalid or unenforceable, it shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary, or severed if modification is not possible, with the remaining provisions continuing in full force. Our failure to enforce any provision shall not constitute a waiver of that provision or any subsequent breach.
20. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and OakDev & AI AB regarding your use of the App and supersede all prior agreements, representations, or understandings on the same subject matter.
